‘Quick, easy and painless’: how GG Sell helped Johnny and Adam sell their property investment

Whether it's to access capital gain or as a result of unforeseen circumstances, at some point, investors exit their property investment. We launched GG Sell to enable a hassle-free journey when the time to sell comes.

Difficult financial times, economic and political flux, and other unforeseen circumstances are all factors that can affect the various stages of your property investment journey. In some cases, these factors can be so challenging that you may even consider exiting your investment entirely rather than trying to weather the storm. Unfortunately, this process can become as complicated as purchasing the property initially. At GetGround, we launched GG Sell to address this: enabling investors to sell their investments quickly and without the usual hassle associated with a sale transaction.

We recently spoke to Johnny, who works in fraud prevention, and Adam, who works in corporate communications, about their property investment journey, specifically the sale of their buy-to-let investment. Based in Bradford, the duo started their property investment journey by purchasing a buy-to-let off-plan flat in Liverpool.

Adam and Johnny: where it all began

“Incredibly quick, easy, and pretty much painless”

After receiving a sum of money, Adam and Johnny decided to invest in a one bedroom flat in the heart of Liverpool. They reached out to GetGround and, after liking what they heard, decided to begin their investment journey by setting up a buy-to-let limited company with us. They then went on to reserve their off-plan flat. Both Adam and Johnny described the process as “incredibly quick, easy, and pretty much painless”.

Adam and Johnny: deciding to sell

“GetGround really were the driving force behind progressing the sale from negotiations right up to completion”

Their decision to sell came soon after reservation due to mortgage fluctuations and issues they faced with the developer. Adam recalls that “GetGround, however, was great in guiding [us] through the whole process, from purchase through to sale”. When asked why they chose to sell with GetGround, Adam highlights our speed of service and readily available pool of thousands of property investors their flat could be marketed to. Within a month, GetGround had identified several investors who were interested in Adam and Johnny’s property.

Adam and Johnny: the GetGround experience

“Our journey has been an incredibly difficult one with all kinds of obstacles and setbacks, but GetGround kept us sane.”

Adam found the best part of GetGround to be our service, and felt that we “really had [our] back, even when the other parties within the transactions were not being particularly cooperative.” For Johnny, the feature that really stood out were the GetGround dashboard and its user-friendly interface where you can access all documents and financial tools needed.

Would they do it all over again? With GetGround, without hesitation they said. Interested in selling a buy-to-let property of your own? Get started here
