This week, we spoke to Karl West, co-founder of Westways Financial, about his experience working with GetGround.
Tell us a bit about yourself, and the work you do at Westways Financial.
I am Karl West (CeMAP, ACA, CertICM), co-founder of Westways Financial, a family-run financial services firm putting innovation and digitalisation at the forefront of our customer’s property journey.
We build long-term relationships to support customers with their mortgages, protection, wills, surveys, solicitors, foreign exchange and limited company setup needs (this is where GetGround slot in seamlessly).
And how does GetGround help you support your clients on that journey?
GetGround play a pivotal role in supporting our property investor customers at Westways Financial with their limited company set up, providing support with business account opening as well as ongoing tax and accounting support.
The team provide excellent service with Andrew and Nikkita spearheading our client dialogues.
Talk us through your experience partnering with GetGround – what have been some of the main benefits?
For us, the main benefit is that GetGround solves a common client problem. With my Chartered Accountancy background I have several conversations with property investor customers about tax efficiency and the benefits of limited company usage when building a portfolio. Especially when speaking with higher tax individuals, the setting up a limited company in a smooth and seamless process is key.
The use of technology, a great client platform and friendly customer service really gives our customers confidence from the get-go.
What do your clients say about the partnership?
Our clients love the fact we can have joint calls, bringing both expertise from Westways Financial and GetGround together. They have always said that we provide a warm introduction so they feel both confident and that they are speaking to a fully credible partner off the bat.
What's next for your partnership with GG?
At Westways Financial, we are excited to deepen our partnership established to date and with the new addition of GG Search this will help to elevate our customers benefits in our joint ecosystem.
Furthermore, our next step is to continue building our joint customers portfolios and increasing their limited company usage over the coming 10-20 years. We are always open to providing feedback on new innovations and eager to explore further collaborative opportunities for the future.
