Partner Spotlight: Steven Oladipo, Thirlmere Deacon

“We’ve partnered with GetGround for a couple of years now – and we absolutely love the service.”

Steven Oladipo is a Senior Global Investment Consultant at Thirlmere Deacon, serving investors in both the UK and Middle East. He spoke to us about his experience with GetGround so far, his clients’ aspirations, and his plans for the future.

Hi, Steven – tell us a bit about yourself, and the work you do at Thirlmere Deacon

I’m a property investment consultant – so I help our investor clients both in the UK and Dubai to set up and scale their property portfolios.

More specifically, at Thirlmere Deacon we support investors through every stage of the portfolio-buiding process. That includes sourcing, exchange, refinancing, and reinvesting. Anything we can do to help our clients on their way to financial success.

And how does GetGround help you support your clients on that journey?

Most importantly, GetGround helps make it easy for our clients to set up and manage tax-efficient limited companies for their investments. They’re really a one-stop-shop – clients can incorporate a company quickly, manage it without the usual admin, and get support when they need it. All in one place.

GetGround’s consultants are also very knowledgeable – helping to build clients’ understanding of all the benefits of limited company ownership. That education piece is highly valuable.

Talk us through your experience partnering with GetGround – what have been some of the main benefits?

We first partnered with GetGround a couple of years ago, and we absolutely love the service. They’ve been incredibly efficient and knowledgeable from day one. Whatever our clients need, their consultants are always there to help. This is so helpful when it comes to making the client feel valued, and to help them understand how incorporating a limited company works.

What do your clients say about the partnership?

Mostly, how happy they are with GetGround’s services! It comes back to the expertise of their consultants. They’re all very knowledgeable, which is a huge help to our clients – especially those based outside the UK.

Our clients have also been delighted with the returns they’ve seen through their limited company structures, and how streamlined GetGround makes the whole process. It often means they don’t need to find an accountant to help them manage their company, which saves both time and money.

Why do you think now is a great time for non-UK residents to invest in UK property?

For investors outside the UK, now is a great time to invest in UK property simply because the pound has dropped to its lowest point in a long time. That means they can get more for their money than ever before – which is, of course, hugely attractive.

Also, the UK is well known as a stable property market, and this has been the case for some time. Once again, this is very attractive to our international investors

What's next for your partnership with GG?

We’ve already got a strong relationship – but now I’m looking forward to deepening it. That means more clients on the platform. In fact, our goal is to make sure all Thirlmere Deacon clients have access to GetGround’s platform in the very near future.

Think your clients could use all the benefits of a limited company, without all the usual hassle? Learn more about partnering with GetGround here. Or, if you’re an existing partner looking to feature in our Partner Spotlight series, just reach out to your Partner Manager – we’d love to chat.
