To incorporate your GetGround company, we'll need three key documents from you.
By submitting the right documents, first-time round, you're guaranteed to get your company set up much faster. Otherwise, we'll need to ask you for more documents which will slow down the set up process.
Tip: Be Prepared!
There's nothing worse than having to wait to get your company incorporated or your business account opened, just because there's an issue with your documents. We recommend always making sure that you've all the valid documents that you need, well in advance.
The documents we need from you are as follows:
1. Your Proof of Address
Your proof of address needs to be one of the following documents:
- Bank, building society or credit card statement
- Utility bill
- Gas, electricity, or water bill
- Landline telephone bill
- We cannot accept mobile phone bills
- Home or car insurance certificate / schedule
- Tenancy agreement
- UK council tax bill
- UK driving license (if you've not already used it as your ID)
Whichever document you choose, it must:
- Show your full name
- Show your full address
- Be dated within the the last three months
Note: We cannot accept any proof of address older than three months.
2. Your Photo ID
We need one form of photo ID that's within expiry date. There are three types of photo ID we accept when creating your limited company:
- Your passport
- Your driver's license
- Your National ID card
You can upload either a photo of your ID or a high-resolution scan. Whichever type of ID you choose, we need to see all the available information. That means:
Show the whole page, including the bottom two lines
Show all details clearly - no blur
Move away from direct light - no glare
The photo of your ID should show your document clearly
3. Your Selfie
As part of your company creation journey, we'll ask you to take a selfie - just so we can verify your photo ID and confirm it's you trying to incorporate the company. To do this, we work with a digital identification partner, Onfido.
Please make sure that you take your selfie when prompted during the onboarding process. We can't accept a selfie that you've taken beforehand. We'll also need you to take off your glasses, if necessary.
