How it works

Once you've decided to transfer your property to a company structure, there are a couple of steps you'll need to take.

We know that the process of transferring your property from your personal name to a company structure can be a daunting one, but we have broken down the process into three simple steps. We'll be on hand the entire way though, so don't be afraid to reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Step One: Creating a company

The first thing that you'll need to do is set up a new company to hold your property. Doing this is easy through GetGround's platform. Our company step up guide includes a video on how you can do this -- it'll only take you about 30 minutes!

To speed up the process, there are a couple of documents that you'll need to hand. We've prepared a guide to help you make sure that you can go through the process as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

Once your company has been set up, we'll do the work behind the scenes to incorporate it. Once that process is complete, we'll let you know.

Step Two: Getting a mortgage

Once your company has been incorporated, we will then refer you to our mortgages team who will then provide you with the best option based on your personal situation. Whilst you can speak with other brokers, we work with lenders who are versed in this specific type of transaction so we find you the right product based on a wider set of options.

Step Three: Starting the legal process

With your mortgage secured, we can then refer you over to solicitors. Because we have established a relationship with a specific law firm, they will better understand this type of transaction and therefore should be able to complete this without additional context required.

Should you (or the solicitor) have any questions throughout the process, we will be on hand to provide you with any information that you may need.
