When you bring your company onto the GetGround Platform, we'll need your authentication code to make any filings on your behalf.
Your company's authentication code is a unique 6-digit alphanumeric code that a limited company can use to make online changes or filings with Companies House.
The authentication code acts as your digital signature, so you'll need to treat is securely like you would a bank PIN code.
How can I find my authentication code?
If you did not use GetGround's services to incorporate your company, you will need to request it from Companies House. To do this, you’ll need to following the steps below:
- Sign in to Companies House WebFiling. You may have to register an account if you haven’t already done so.
- Click the option to request an Authentication Code
- Provide your business registration number
- Click “Request Code”
- You will receive your code via post to your company’s registered address.
Once you’ve taken the steps above, you’ll need to wait up to 5 days for Companies House to then post your code number. Unfortunately, post is the method that Companies House use to send your authentication code.
If you incorporated your company through GetGround and need your authentication code for whatever reason, please just send an email to gethelp@getground.co.uk and we will send you the information securely.
